Internship Remote / Boston, MA 3–6 months · part-time

Medical Physics Research Intern

Support ASRIMP research projects in dosimetry, Monte Carlo simulation and imaging analysis, with mentorship toward publication.

Responsibilities

Run and validate Monte Carlo or FEA simulations (COMSOL, ANSYS, Geant4)
Process imaging datasets and produce reproducible analysis notebooks
Contribute to manuscripts, posters and internal technical notes

Requirements

BSc/MSc student in physics, medical physics or biomedical engineering
Python or MATLAB proficiency
Interest in radiation safety and clinical translation

Education & Curriculum Fellow

Build and maintain ASRIMP teaching material, including the CAMPEP/ABR preparation track and open lecture series.

Responsibilities

Author study guides, problem sets and exam-style questions
Curate and review library resources by topic
Host online review sessions for students and residents

Requirements

Graduate degree in medical physics or a closely related field
Teaching or tutoring experience
Familiarity with the ABR examination structure

Clinical Medical Physicist Advisor

Provide clinical review of ASRIMP content and mentor early-career members entering residency.

Responsibilities

Review technical accuracy of guidelines and study material
Mentor residency applicants and answer community questions
Advise on quality assurance and radiation protection practice

Requirements

ABR/EFOMP-certified or equivalent clinical qualification
Active clinical practice in therapy, imaging or nuclear medicine

Outreach & Communications Volunteer

Help ASRIMP reach students and clinicians worldwide through multilingual content and community management.

Responsibilities

Translate and adapt content (English, French, Arabic)
Moderate the community discussion space
Coordinate webinars and partner announcements

Strong written communication in at least two of EN/FR/AR
Interest in science communication and global health
